A researcher at Kings College London is recruiting neonatal professionals to take part in an online focus group on 3rd July 2024.
Kirsty Jane, specialist music therapist and research associate with Kings College London, is working with parents with lived experience and supporting charities to consider what music therapy might look like on the neonatal unit for parents with babies with an uncertain future.
Collaboratively, they have designed a study that will listen to parents and healthcare professionals’ experiences of the neonatal unit. Now the same team is coming together to design a program that will look at using sound and song to support the development of continuing bonds for parents with seriously unwell babies. It has been awarded NIHR funding and has full HRA approval.
Kirsty is looking for health care professionals with experience of working with families with babies with uncertain futures on neonatal units to take part in online focus groups to be held 3rd July. Anyone taking part will receive £50 for attending. All data shared will remain confidential and will be anonymised.
If you would like to shape the development of music therapy on neonatal units and feel able to take part in a focus group please contact Kirsty Jane ( [email protected]) for more information.
